Tell us a little bit about your journey in the healthcare field?

I became a CNA in 2015 and gained experience working in several home health agencies & retirement communities. In 2021, I became an LVN and have worked as a nurse in more retirement communities & Care Indeed.

What drove you to become a professional Nurse?

I wanted to be able to help current & future clients with the additional knowledge & skills that I’ve gained and continue to gain in the nursing field. I enjoy helping others as a nurse because of the care we’re able to provide for others. I specifically enjoy working with seniors because of the wisdom I can gain from them in return.

What do you like most about your job?

As a healthcare provider, building relationships with seniors is one of the most rewarding aspects of my job. Listening to their stories and having meaningful conversations helps me better understand their needs and medical history. It also creates a sense of compassion and empathy that can be very beneficial to the healing process. By building trust and establishing a rapport with seniors, I can help alleviate their anxiety and stress, creating a more positive and productive healthcare experience.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I enjoy hiking, reading books, and watching Netflix in my spare time. Hiking in nature helps me clear my mind, reading provides mental stimulation and allows me to escape from the stresses of everyday life, and Netflix is a great way to relax and unwind. These activities provide a healthy balance of physical activity, mental stimulation, and relaxation, allowing me to recharge and come back to my responsibilities with renewed energy and focus.

How would you describe Care Indeed's culture?

As a nurse, I've found that Care Indeed truly supports me as a healthcare provider and person. They prioritize my professional development and my overall well-being. Care Indeed understands that a healthy nurse translates to better care for their clients. They offer opportunities for training and education and provide access to resources to help me achieve my personal and professional goals.

What do you think about being the employee of the month?

I’m truly honored to receive this recognition. I’m grateful that Care Indeed has taken the time to show appreciation in this way. It really means a lot to me.

Is there anything you want to share with your colleagues?

Each day presents a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on those around us. By approaching each day with an open heart and a willingness to love, care, and serve others better, we create a ripple effect of kindness and compassion that can make a world of difference. It's important to treat each day as if it were our last because it reminds us to live in the present moment and appreciate the people and experiences in our lives. We never know what tomorrow may bring, so we should make the most of today. Whether it's a simple act of kindness or a grand gesture, every effort we make towards loving, caring, and serving others has the potential to impact their lives.
