May often feels like more than just the bridge between spring and summer. For me, it’s a season of reflection—a time to pause, to look back at where we started, and to express gratitude for how far we’ve come. In home care, where every day is shaped by human connection, May calls us to lead with heart, intention, and humility.

That spirit was vividly brought to life during our Spring Caregiver Appreciation Event. There was something deeply moving about seeing our caregivers in bright florals, sharing laughter, enjoying a good meal, and—most importantly—being seen and celebrated. In that moment, I was reminded of why Care Indeed exists. It has always been, and will always be, about the people. Our caregivers are the lifeblood of our mission. Their quiet strength, commitment, and compassion are what carry this agency forward day after day. Reviving this tradition wasn’t just an event—it was a return to what matters most.

May also marked a powerful milestone for our leadership. We celebrated three extraordinary team members—including our CEO, Dee—who completed their Executive MBA from the University of San Francisco. Dee was further honored with a Leadership and Integrity Award, a recognition that speaks not just to her accomplishments, but to her character. Watching her navigate this journey has been nothing short of inspiring. She reminds us that true leadership is not about titles or accolades—it’s about consistency, courage, and the willingness to lead by example, especially when it’s hard. Dee has shown us that action quiets fear, and that integrity, when lived out loud, can light the way forward.

This month was filled with joy, meaningful milestones, and renewed connection. And through it all, one truth stood out more clearly than ever: home care is a profoundly human endeavor. It’s not about checklists or tasks—it’s about relationships built on trust, respect, and compassion.

To our caregivers, leaders, clients, and partners—thank you for continuing to bring your whole hearts to this work. Your presence, your care, and your belief in our mission are what make Care Indeed more than just an agency. You make it a community. I see you. And I look forward to what we’ll continue to build—together.
