Sometimes the quietest heroes are the ones who make the biggest difference. That's certainly true for Daniella, our October 2024 Employee of the Month, whose journey into caregiving started with an act of extraordinary kindness. Years ago, she cared for a lady who couldn't afford to pay her for three years. Instead of walking away, Daniella stayed. That experience didn't just shape her path – it revealed who she truly was as a person.
"I love all of my clients," she says with genuine warmth, and you can tell she means every word. Now working with elderly clients, Daniella finds joy in the little moments they share. She's touched by how they show concern for her well-being, even as she's caring for them. It's these small exchanges of kindness that make her work feel meaningful.
But there's so much more to Daniella than her role as a caregiver. Together with eleven other women, she's part of a nonprofit called "Angels with Shoes," collecting footwear for children in need. When she's not caring for others, you might find her at a Zumba class, letting loose on the dance floor, or exploring hiking trails despite a persistent foot pain that would keep many others at home.
Life threw her some curveballs – like when the pandemic forced her to close her hairstyling business. But Daniella adapted, now styling hair on weekends for loyal clients who simply won't let her go. She plans adventures too, dreaming of San Francisco waterfalls and making road trips to North Mexico whenever she can.
When Daniella learned about her Employee of the Month recognition, her family's initial reaction was laughter, because they all thought it was a bit ridiculous. But she stood proud, knowing in her heart that this acknowledgment came from doing her best every single day. "I am happy and proud," she says, "because I always do my best."
That's just who Daniella is – someone who gives her whole heart to everything she does, whether she's caring for clients, collecting shoes for kids, or tending to her own little family of cats and chickens at home. She's proof that the best caregivers aren't just professionals doing a job – they're people who've made caring for others a way of life.
Daniella doesn't just represent our company's values; she shows us what it means to live them. And for that, we're incredibly proud to call her our Employee of the Month.
